We are in a new year... 2025!!

With that, it's common to reflect on the past and look forward to fresh beginnings.  January is a time to make resolutions but also it's an opportunity to align our lives more closely with God's will and purpose.

The Bible teaches that God's mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23), and this truth provides hope and encouragement for a fresh start. The new year is a reminder that we can leave behind past mistakes and burdens and embrace God's grace to move forward. It's a time to recommit ourselves to living in faith, hope, and love.

Maybe you made some resolutions for this year that go beyond typical goals like eating healthier or exercising. While those are great things to focus on, we can also focus on spiritual growth and setting resolutions that reflect our desire to honor God in our life.

Here are just a few to consider:

Deepen Your Prayer Life - Commit to spending more time in prayer, seeking God's guidance and wisdom throughout the year. Whether it’s through daily quiet time or praying in the moment, connecting with God is the goal of prayer.

Read and Meditate on God's Word – Set an appointment to read the Bible more consistently. Whether you choose to follow a Bible reading plan or just making time to study scriptures that speak to your heart, making God's Word a priority can transform your spiritual life.

Serve Others – Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:39). Make it a resolution to serve others through acts of kindness, volunteering, or offering your time and resources to those in need.

Forgive and Let Go of Past Hurts – The new year is a great time to let go of bitterness or unforgiveness. Forgiving others not only brings healing to relationships but also frees your heart to experience God’s peace and joy.

Live Out the Fruits of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22-23 outlines the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Resolve to embody these characteristics in your interactions with others.

Strengthen Your Faith – Whether through church attendance, fellowship with other believers, or deepening your understanding of God's promises, resolve to grow in your faith and trust in God’s plan for your life.

We believe listening to 89.7 KSGN helps with all of these!

May this year be a time of drawing closer to God, embracing His love, and fulfilling the purposes He has for us.

Happy New Year!
