89.7 KSGN, is a ministry of Good News Radio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists to draw people closer to God by providing encouragement, edifying believers, and building community through Christian music, mission outreach, and events.

We want 89.7 KSGN to be a welcoming place, a community where we you can feel welcome and connected regardless of where you've been, no matter what's happened in your life, whether you go to church or not.

89.7 KSGN covers a potential audience of over 4 million people in the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino Counties) as well as in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and can also be heard around the world on smartphones and at KSGN.COM.

89.7 KSGN is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by tax-deductible donations from members of the community.  There is no church affiliation, government grant or even rich uncle!  Financial support comes from friends like you who believe in God's work through 89.7 KSGN.

The core purpose of the station has two parts:  To share the Good News of the Gospel with those who have never heard it before; and to bring hope, inspiration, and encouragement to those who have.

This radio ministry began in 1958 as KNFP, a small college station built by professors and students at La Sierra College in Riverside, California.  It was created as a lab for students to have real-life opportunities to apply what they were studying in public speaking, ministerial studies, physics and engineering.

Over the years the call letters changed a couple of times and then the station went off the air for two years in the late '60s.  The call letters were changed to KSGN in 1979.  For a time, branding on the radio station corresponded with the call letters using the words - Keep Sharing the Good News.

In the early years, the station had a format of classical music and news, then traditional Christian music, and now features contemporary Christian music as well as information about special events at area churches and community organizations.

We believe about:

• The Bible:  It is God's Word to all people.  It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.  It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.  Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.
• The Trinity:  There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Each member of the Trinity serves different functions, and each possess equal power and authority.
• The Father:  God is great: He is infinite, holy, all powerful, all knowing, unchanging, and worthy of our complete trust. He is compassionate and merciful to people. He hears and answers prayers and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
• The Son:  Jesus Christ lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.
• The Holy Spirit:  The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation, providing the power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He is an Advocate, Comforter, Counselor, and friend.
• Man:  Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of God's creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience.
• Salvation:  Man can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good works - only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin's penalty. Believing by faith that Jesus Christ died and rose again to forgive sin and give life so we can spend eternity with God.
