International Women's Month is celebrated throughout March and it’s during this month, the achievements, contributions, and struggles of women are recognized globally.
This is a reminder of the strength, courage, and faith of women throughout history - women who have contributed, sacrificed, and overcome. Women in the Bible, like Esther, Mary, and Deborah, demonstrated remarkable faith and leadership, leaving us with a legacy of faith to draw inspiration from. Likewise, we reflect on the countless women who have made significant contributions to God's kingdom, the church, and the world - whose legacies continue to impact generations.
It's also a great time to pray for the women in our lives - our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, and coworkers - and for women all over the world. Let's pray for strength and wisdom to follow in the footsteps of the faithful women who have come before us, and offer gratitude for the gifts they bring to the body of Christ and the world.
Romans 12:10 encourages us to "outdo one another in showing honor," and Hebrews 10:24 urges us to encourage each other.
Let's inspire one another to uplift and advocate for women everywhere. A simple word of encouragement or public acknowledgment can go a long way in honoring the women who shape our lives. Women reflect the incredible diversity of God’s creativity, and we can honor that through both our words and actions.
Let's honor God by recognizing and appreciating the priceless value of every woman made in His image. And if you're a woman, remember to honor the incredible person looking back at you in the mirror.
