My mom is in the ICU and currently intubated. She had a serious choking/breathing attack due to a completely blocked esophagus. The doctors have removed the blockage, but said once they extubate and she resumes eating/drinking, there is a high probability the esophagus may become blocked again. My mom was very scared when she was struggling to breathe! She’s claustrophobic and panics when they have attempted to remove the esophageal tube. As of yesterday, they said she is too high risk to remove it. Please pray that God will make the situation safe for removal and that he will calm her mind and body supernaturally while they extubate. She is very claustrophobic and will tend to panic which hospital staff has already observed. Please pray God will strengthen and clear her lungs (she also has copd and lung cancer, but praise God the cancer has previously shrunk with chemo) and ask that will be easily be able to breathe on her own. Please pray God gives mom a miracle and the esophageal blockage never happens again and her breathing is restored. Her stomach has also moved into part of her chest so we need to pray it slides back into place. Mom still desires to live and I pray the Lord will choose to give her a miracle so we can spread the good news and share her testimony. Lastly please pray for me. my dad and the rest of our family. This has been very devastating and I adore my mom.
