Jesus' sacrifice and His victory!

The heart of our Christian faith is a story full of love, hope, and amazing grace—the story of Jesus’ crucifixion, death, and resurrection.
Jesus, God’s only Son, came to earth to show us how much God loves us. He lived a perfect life, healed the hurting, taught with kindness, and shared the truth about God’s Kingdom. But not everyone understood who He was. Jesus was arrested and sentenced to die on a cross—a painful and difficult death that He chose to face so He could take the punishment for our sins.

As He hung on the cross, Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), because the work of saving us was done. He died so we could be forgiven and have a forever friendship with God. After His death, Jesus was placed in a tomb.  But here’s the part that changed everything.
Three days later, early in the morning, Jesus rose from the dead! The tomb was empty.

Jesus was alive! This miracle shows us that not even death can stop God’s love. His resurrection gives us hope, joy, and the promise that we can live forever with Him.

The Bible says: "He is not here; He has risen, just as He said!" – Matthew 28:6 (NIV)

We also sing this amazing truth in worship, like in the song “Living Hope” by Phil Wickham:
“Then came the morning that sealed the promise / Your buried body began to breathe / Out of the silence, the Roaring Lion / Declared the grave has no claim on me.”

Jesus is alive—and that changes everything! Because of Him, we are never alone, never without hope, and always loved.  Let this Easter story be more than a memory—make it a celebration in your home! Jesus lives, and because He lives, we can live with peace, joy, and hope in our hearts every day.

A Simple Family Prayer:

Dear Jesus,
Thank You for loving us so much that You died on the cross for our sins. Thank You for rising again and giving us hope and new life. Help us to always remember how deep Your love is and to share it with others. Amen.
