Amid the coronavirus, the White House along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced a new policy that urges Americans to wear cloth masks while outdoors in an effort to prevent coronavirus spread.

With a dwindling supply of N95 masks for hospital and essential workers, many good Samaritans across the nation have taken it upon themselves to create makeshift masks.

A nonprofit organization in our community, Sleepy Threads, is a local sewing ministry who make  and provide custom colorful soft pillowcases free of charge to children who are patients in hospitals.

They have expanded their sewing efforts to making masks for the first responders and medical personnel in our local hospitals.

With the demand for masks being top focus for many, the supply of materials is needed. Therefore, they are asking that if any who are interested would be able to donate 100% cotton fabric or elastic, please reach out to Peggy Daw, (909) 567-9996. Website : https://sleepythreads.org/
