Unwrapping Christmas?!  Once Christmas is over and we begin to put away the ornaments, decorations, and get everything put away, make sure you take some time to appreciate the "moment between." 

That place between Christmas and News Years is kind of like the eye of the hurricane - that peaceful time of quiet between wrapping up last year and unwrapping next year.

You may have to force yourself to be intentional in the moment between... intentionally thinking about how the children have grown since the previous Christmas and what delights them now.

The moment between is a last time to let your mind appreciate their recitals, the good moments.  No, don't let your mind settle on the drama of, well, some family.  But instead to do what the Bible shares from Philippians 4:8, encouraging us to think on what's true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy!  (Something that should be effortless.)

Surprisingly, it takes some effort to clear away the "stuff" and to just rest in the afterglow of the lovely!

Soak in Philippians 4:7: "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Yeah!  That time between the seasons - between 2025 ending and 2026 beginning.  Rest in Him!  That's why Jesus came.
