La Sierra University's free-admission Pierce Street Jazz series will feature the talents of trumpeter Nolan Shaheed whose past credits include serving as music director for singer/songwriter Marvin Gaye and as lead trumpet for the Count Basie Orchestra. Mr. Shaheed's extensive performance and touring credits also include work with such notables as Natalie Cole, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Phil Collins, Miles Davis, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
