la sierra university parker quartet rev 1

On Saturday, Oct. 25, the Grammy-winning Parker Quartet will perform at La Sierra University's Hole Memorial Auditorium.

The performance is part of the Anna H. Wang Concert Series. A pre-concert lecture will be given by 91.5 KUSC's Brian Lauritzen. The quartet features Daniel Chong, violin, Ken Hamao, violin, Jessica Bodner, viola and Kee-Hyun Kim, cello. The group has garnered international renown as one of the preeminent ensembles of its generation, with accolades from The Strad, Gramophone, and prominent news media––they were described by the New York Times as “something extraordinary,” and their performance by The Washington Post as “exceptional virtuosity [and] imaginative interpretation.”

The lecture with KUSC radio personality Brian Lauritzen will be held at 6 p.m. and the performance will begin at 7 p.m. Free admission for students.
