Pierce Street Jazz Series - Barbara Morrison (now with Dwight Trible)

Noted L.A. jazz vocalist Dwight Trible, whose credits including working with Kenny Burrell, Oscar Brown, Jr., Harry Belafonte, and Della Reese will replace previously announced singer Barbara Morrison for La Sierra University's Pierce Street Jazz concert.  Bassist Henry “the Skipper” Franklin, pianist Theo Saunders, and drummer Yayo Morales will join Trible.

The performance will be held at the Troesh Conference Center in La Sierra’s Zapara School of Business. Admission is free.

The concert will be dedicated to the late jazz drummer Ramon Banda who passed away on May 30. Banda played drums for most of the Pierce Street Jazz concerts since the series’ inception in summer 2009. He was well known throughout jazz and Latin music circles and was a former 24-year member of the Grammy-winning Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band.
